Coach Sydney started her career in track and field as a junior at John H. Pitman High School in Turlock, CA. She then competed for Modesto Junior college before transferring to UC Davis. Sydney was a multi-event athlete competing in heptathlon, triple jump and pole vault. She graduated from UC Davis in 2021 finishing out her career with 3^rd place in the heptathlon at the Big West Conference Championships. Sydney started coaching at DHS in 2022-2023.
